Personal Auto Coverage
By far the most popular insurance policy on the planet.  If you own a car, you're required by law to have basic liability coverage on it equal to the minimum limits required by your home state.  We have excellent personal auto markets and quoting is quick and easy.  Call or email with your information handy and we can usually get back to you the same day, if not right away!

Home & Apartment Insurance
There's no doubt that for most people, losing their home would be a huge financial burden.  Homeowners insurance steps in to take away that threat for many types of property losses and includes liability for the homeowner as well.  For Apartment dwellers, Renters Insurance offers coverage for liability and personal property.

Recreational Vehicles
Coverage for all your toys.  RV's, ATV's, Boats, Motorcycles, Jet Skis or whatever you may have to enjoy your free time.  All these items can be covered and should be covered under a seperate policy.  Call or email our staff if you have any questions regarding coverage for your recreational vehicles.
Personal Umbrella
Personal Umbrella coverage is very similar to what the name implies.  Your Homeowner and Personal Auto policy both provide liability coverage, but the Personal Umbrella policy takes it a step further.  It provides an "umbrella" of liability protection that can cover many different types of personal policies.  For instance, your home and auto policy may offer $500,000 in liability protection and your personal umbrella puts another $1,000,000 in coverage on top of that for a total of $1,500,000 in coverage for both policies.  Call or email our staff if you have any questions related to Personal Umbrella coverage.
Flood & Earthquake Coverage
Flood and Earthquake coverage are probably the most misunderstood coverages that we offer.  Both are often excluded on a typical homeowners policy, but both can be added back, either by endorsement or by purchasing a seperate policy.

Earthquake is relatively inexpensive, but the coverage typically includes a deductible that is 5%-10% of the amount of coverage on your home.  For example, a $200,000 home policy including Earthquake coverage with a 10% deductible would have a $20,000 deductible.  Every consumer must understand that Earthquake coverage is not meant to cover small cracks that might appear after a small tremor, but to cover major structural damage after large quakes.

Flood coverage, on the other hand, can be quite expensive for those consumers who need it.  Most people don't think about Flood coverage unless it is a requirement from their mortgage company.  Flood coverage is well worth the premium for those at risk for flood.  If you feel like you might have a flood exposure, please call or email Barrett Howard.  We can check to see where your property lies on the flood maps and if needed, quote a price for coverage.

If you have any other questions on Flood or Earthquake coverage, please call or email our staff.
